Logo Editor
The Logo Editor is BrandForge's built-in vector editor for refining your generated logo concepts. It gives you direct control over every element of your logo without requiring any design software.
Opening the Editor
Click Edit on any logo concept card in the Logo Generator to open the Logo Editor. The editor appears as a full-screen modal.
Editor Layout
The editor uses a three-panel layout:

Toolbar (top of canvas)
- Export format — SVG or PNG
- Apply — Save changes and close the editor
- Mode tabs: Design / Position / Export
Edit mode tabs (above canvas)
- Design — Colors, typography, style
- Elements — Add or remove icons, shapes, decorative elements
- Text — Edit brand name, tagline, or other text layers
- Draw — Freehand drawing tools
- Blur — Background blur effects
- Crop — Canvas cropping
Layers Panel
The Layers panel shows the structure of your logo as editable layers:

Click any layer to select it. Drag layers to reorder them.
Selecting Elements
Click any element directly on the canvas to select it. A blue selection border appears around the selected element.
Keyboard shortcuts:

Design Controls (Right Panel)
Logo Scale
A slider (0–200%) to resize the entire logo composition proportionally.
Icon Colors
Color swatches for each color used in the icon layer. Click a swatch to open the color picker.
Text Colors
Color swatches for the wordmark and any other text layers.
Decoration Colors
Color swatches for decorative elements (lines, dots, frames).
AI Refine
The AI Refine button in the editor opens the AI Copilot in context-aware mode. Describe what you want to change in plain language:
- "Make the icon larger relative to the text"
- "Change the font to something more geometric and modern"
- "Add a thin underline beneath the wordmark"
- "Make the color warmer — more amber than gold"
The AI applies changes directly to the canvas in real time.
Dark / Light / Transparent modes
Three quick-toggle buttons at the top of the canvas let you preview the logo on:
- ☀ Light background
- 🌙 Dark background
- ◻ Transparent background
Use these to check contrast and legibility across different use cases.
Exporting Your Logo
From the editor
- Click the Export tab in the right panel
- Choose format: SVG (vector, infinitely scalable) or PNG (raster, at specified resolution)
- Click Export — the file downloads immediately
File formats

Saving to Brand Assets
Click Apply to close the editor and save the current logo to Brand Assets → Logos & Brand Mark automatically. Your logo is stored in SVG format.
Professional brand kits include multiple logo variants: primary (color), white (for dark backgrounds), black/monochrome, and icon-only. Use the Logo Editor to create each variant and save them to Brand Assets.
