Pages

The Pages module is your website's visual editor. It lets you manage pages, edit sections, and control page-level settings — all without touching code.

Page List​

The left panel of the website editor shows all pages in your site. Each page entry displays:

  • Page name
  • A Home badge on the homepage (cannot be deleted)
  • Edit (pencil) and Delete (trash) icons on hover

The homepage​

The homepage is always the first page in the list and is marked with a Home badge. It cannot be deleted, but it can be renamed.

Adding a page​

Click + Add page at the bottom of the page list. Enter a page name — BrandForge creates the page with a blank canvas and auto-generates a URL slug (e.g. /about).

Renaming a page​

Hover over a page in the list and click the pencil icon. Edit the name and press Enter.

Deleting a page​

Hover over a page and click the trash icon. You'll be asked to confirm. Deleted pages cannot be recovered.

The Canvas​

The canvas is the center panel — a live, accurate preview of your page at the selected viewport size.

Viewport controls​

Switch between Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile views using the icons in the canvas toolbar. All pages are responsive by default.

Selecting sections​

Click any section on the canvas to select it. A blue hover border appears on hover, and a solid blue border appears when selected. The right panel updates to show that section's properties.

Sections Panel​

Switch the left panel from Pages to Sections to see all sections on the current page in order:

  • Drag sections to reorder them
  • Click a section in the list to select it on the canvas
  • Add new sections from the section library (coming soon)

The section count for the active page is shown in the editor header (e.g. 4 pages · 7 sections).

Section Editing​

Click a section on the canvas to edit it. Depending on the section type, you can:

  • Edit text inline by double-clicking on content
  • Change section background color, image, or style
  • Rearrange columns or cards within the section

More advanced section customization is done through the right-panel Properties tab.

Page SEO​

With no section selected (click away from sections to deselect), the right panel shows Page SEO settings:

Meta Title​

The page title that appears in browser tabs and search engine results.

  • Max 60 characters
  • Should include your brand name and page focus keyword

Meta Description​

A 1–2 sentence summary for search engines.

  • Max 160 characters
  • Should be compelling and include relevant keywords

URL Slug​

The page's URL path, e.g. /about or /services.

  • Lowercase, hyphens only (no spaces or special characters)
  • The homepage slug is always / and cannot be changed

Saving​

Click Save Website in the canvas toolbar to save all changes. BrandForge auto-saves drafts periodically, but clicking Save ensures changes are persisted before publishing.

Publishing​

Click Publish in the editor header to push your site live. After publishing:

  • Your live site updates immediately
  • The Dashboard shows Website Live status
  • The site visit counter in the Dashboard begins tracking traffic
